Those Eyes, oh my!

While Daddy's away, we will play!
Here are sweet little Gerrit's 4 month photos...

Jodi, Your little guy has amazing eyes and one of the biggest baby grins I've ever seen! Thank you for for greeting me with coffee, leading me on an enchanted walk through the woods and even be willing to lounge in an old water trough bathtub for the sake of a photograph! :)

Autumn on the way...

Back in September, my friend Becca and her husband, Ben, were still waiting for their baby girl's arrival. I loved getting to capture the beauty of them transitioning from a couple to a family. Our shoot began in the nursery and continued on to Gas Works Park.
With downtown Seattle as our backdrop and a dusky sunset glow, here are some of my favorites...

Stay tuned for this sweet baby girl's debut!

Mustard Tree Welcomes You!

My photos needed a home beyond my personal blog, welcome to that place.

As I explored options for a name, I wanted something that reflected the photos I capture, who I am and the colorful world that I awake to each new day.
I love mustard.
I love eating mustard. I love wearing [the color] mustard. I love decorating with [the color] mustard. And I love photographing all things mustard[colored.]

But more than just a love for mustard literally, the Biblical story of the mustard seed is one of my favorites. The cherry on top, the mortar that connected each of my ideas to the next, lies in the fact that a mustard tree does not exist.

*A mustard seed grows into a small bush, not nearly a shade tree, as is indicated in the parable.
That to me is eclectic, unpredictable ... perfect.
Welcome to Mustard Tree Photography!
